Chapter Update

in ,

Dear Greater Delaware Valley Chapter Community,

JDRF recently announced our strategy to accelerate our mission and become more volunteer powered. As part of this strategy, we are a leaner organization with three regions, 29 new Chapters and fewer staff sharing resources across larger geographic areas. Locally, we will remain the Greater Delaware Valley Chapter with no changes to our geography.

A more streamlined and less costly chapter model is core to our maximizing efficiency and driving every dollar possible to our mission. The impact of COVID forced us to explore new and innovative ways to bring our community together and engage new supporters passionate about our mission. While we are committed to our core fundraising events and look forward to the day we can all gather together again, we will be vacating the Cherry Hill, NJ and Wilmington, DE office spaces in the weeks ahead. By reducing physical office spaces, staff and volunteers will continue working together remotely to build community and create connections outside our traditional chapter footprint. We will also reduce organizational expenses, enabling us to drive more funds toward our critical mission to cure, prevent and treat T1D.

Volunteers are JDRFā€™s greatest strength. From the beginning, JDRF has been a volunteer-powered organization and we look forward to empowering you more than ever to use your time, talents and passion to propel JDRF to an even higher level of impact.
Thank you for your continued support!
