ONE WALK PROVIDES CONNECTION WITH YOUR T1D COMMUNITY!

in , ,

One of the best things about One Walk is the chance to connect with the local T1D Community, and going virtual is only going to enhance that!

Before the big day on November 1, we invite you to join us for one (or all four) of our upcoming virtual rallies! Each will begin at 6:30 PM and feature noteworthy info, inspiring stories from the community and the opportunity to interact with your fellow walkers.

Step 1. Register for any of the Greater Delaware Valley Walks

Step 2. Register for one or all of the rallies!

September 9: What’s Up With Walk?

A lot has changed this year, but one thing has stayed the same: this community’s passion to create a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D).

Join us on September 9 for the Greater Delaware Valley’s first interactive virtual Rally. Not only will you get to “meet” other teams in the community, but we’ll give you the down low on all exciting new One Walk experiences you can expect this year!

September 10: New Family Rally!

Join your local Greater Delaware Valley Area T1D community for an interactive and inspiring virtual Rally designed for newly diagnosed and new-to-JDRF families.

We invite you to join us via Zoom for our New Family Rally. You’ll “meet” local kids and adults living with type 1 diabetes, committed to our fight to turn Type One into Type None. They’ll share more about how – and why – they support JDRF’s mission through events like One Walk.

October 6: Put the Fun in Fundraising 101

You’ve tackled the first step and registered for One Walk! Like many, you may now be wondering… “How do I fundraise in the face of Covid-19?”

Join the Greater Delaware Valley in our first fundraising session (of 2) and hear from volunteer leaders who have learned the ins and outs of virtual fundraising over the years. Then you’ll have the opportunity to share your ideas, ask questions and get the creative juices flowing!

October 14: Putting the Fun in Fundraising 101 ½

Join us for Part 2 of our Fundraising 101 series! We’ll continue covering how to fundraise in a virtual world, hearing from new volunteer leaders and opening the floor to you to share your ideas!

If you missed the first session, no sweat! We’ll recap what you missed, but there’ll be plenty of new information should you like to attend both!

We are excited to walk as ONE this fall as we work to achieve two very special and significant goals: walking 1.6 million miles, collectively, in honor and support of the 1.6 million Americans living with T1D WHILE highlighting the community’s progress that you all have made possible over the last 50 years by raising critical dollars that will fund even more research! We hope you’ll join us so we can continue to be #strongertogether!
