Raising funds for T1D research can be done anywhere, anytime!

As a family affected greatly by T1D, the Trojak Family is excited to announce that their daughter, Katharine, 20, of Bucks County, PA be running in the London Half Marathon on August 1st on behalf of JDRF.  Katie is not new to JDRF or T1D. “It is complicated, challenging, and above all, terrifying. I would do almost anything for a cure. JDRF has been there every step of the way with resources, support, and always searching for a cure. And one day, we will create a world without type 1 diabetes,” Katie said.

In the past, Katie has worked with JDRF and even had a chance to advocate for government funding on Capitol Hill in 2015. So, when she decided to run the London Half Marathon, she knew she had to run for JDRF in advance of the 100-year anniversary of insulin.

The Greater Delaware Valley Chapter is excited to have a local JDRF supporter participating in the London Half Marathon. Join us in celebrating Katie and wishing her the best of luck on August 1st   London Half Marathon!  Please consider supporting Katie & JDRF by donating here!

With type 1 diabetes (T1D), there are no days off.  But there is hope.  Are you up for a challenge too?  From June 2-6, take no days off and run 3.65 miles (or more!) every day in honor of the 365 days a year that the millions living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) never take off. #NoDaysOffT1D #JDRFGDV Register here!
