20th Annual JDRF Tee Up to Cure Diabetes Golf Classic a Success!

in , ,

On Monday, July 19, more than 220 golfers, sponsors, and volunteers joined us for the 20th Annual JDRF Tee Up to Cure Diabetes Golf Classic, raising $167,000 (and counting) for type 1 diabetes (T1D) research! We are so grateful to all of our incredible sponsors, families, and friends of JDRF for their generosity and ongoing commitment to our mission!

It was incredible to be back in person, and not even the rainy weather got in the way of having a memorable and successful day at Quidnessett Country Club! Players enjoyed on-course games, raffles, and the silent auction. The event featured an exciting Meet or Beat the Pro, Hole-in-One contest, and various treats from our generous Snack Hole Sponsors.

A message from Golf Chair, Chris Librizzi:

I would like to take this opportunity and thank all of our participants for their generous donation, participation, and presence on Monday July 19, 2021 at Quidnessett Country Club. The deep gratitude I have for their involvement is tremendous.

Having started this event more than 20 years ago and watching it grow along with all children with T1D, has been truly rewarding. When we raised $35,000 back in 2001, I was thrilled. Now, 20 years later, to see our event turn over $167,000 is nothing less than amazing.

To our participants, thank you so much for taking time out of your Monday, especially in the rain – it is truly appreciated. I look forward to seeing you in July 2022.

JDRF would like to extend a special thanks to our emcee for the night, Nick Coit of ABC 6, Fund A Cure Speaker, Ava Librizzi, Tee Up to Cure Diabetes Committee Chair, Chris Librizzi, the Golf Committee, and our event volunteersā€”without them, this event would not have been possible!

Please join us in recognizing, supporting, and thanking our generous sponsors!

With supporters like all of you, we are confident that we are on the path to turn Type One into Type None.
