Welcome Craig Comins, JDRF Greater New England Executive Director

Craig comes to us with over 25 years of experience in the non-profit development space, working for organizations such as Special Olympics Massachusetts, the Scleroderma Foundation, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. His experience ranges from major and individual giving to special events, corporate development, and peer-to-peer events.

Most recently, Craig has been a consultant with Turnkey, where he has worked with many clients, including the ALS Association, Susan G. Komen, Children’s Heart Foundation, and the National Foundation to End Child Abuse and Neglect, among others. His projects have ranged from strategic plan development, to major gifts strategy, to peer-to-peer event creation. In his 10+ years at the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, Craig held the positions of Executive Director for the New England Chapter, Regional Director, and Vice President, Team Challenge Campaigns. As the head of the Team Challenge endurance program, Craig led efforts to diversify program offerings, increase profitability, and improve fundraising levels. He understands the critical importance of volunteer engagement and believes that his role is to help volunteers/fundraisers achieve their desire of truly making a difference through their efforts.

In his new role, Craig will work with a dedicated and seasoned team of staff and community volunteers. He will build and enhance an atmosphere for staff and volunteers to succeed by providing strategic direction for fundraising initiatives, cultivating donor relationships, engaging the community, and ensuring the Greater New England chapter continues to make strong impacts on mission.
