World Diabetes Day 24-Hour Challenge
November 14, 2020
On World Diabetes Day, November 14, to signify the unity of the diabetes community, JDRF will be holding a 24-Hour Global Challenge. We want to see how many times we can circle the world with our collective miles and how much we can collectively raise to drive us towards our ultimate finish line: a world without T1D.
Take action on World Diabetes Day
We invite you to help make a significant impact during the month of November which is National Diabetes Awareness Month (NDAM). Specifically, on November 14, World Diabetes Day (WDD), JDRF will be holding a 24-Hour Global Challenge and we hope you will join us by either walking with JDRF One Walk, running with Team JDRF or riding with Team Novo Nordisk in the World Diabetes Day 24 Hour Challenge.
To signify the unity of the diabetes community, we want to see how many times we can circle the world with our collective miles (24,901 miles) and how much we can collectively raise to drive us towards our ultimate finish line: a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D). On this day, join us in being part of this powerful community that will raise $1 million in 1 day to help fund critical research to improve lives of people with T1D!
Take action by registering for free and setting your personal challenge to help us get around the globe and being part of the global community that raises $1M in 1 day.
Here are a few ideas on how you can participate:
- Ask 24 people to give $24 to your campaign
- Ride or run 24 miles in 24 hours
- Ride or run as many miles as you can in 24 minutes
- Use the footprint calculator to craft a story that is meaningful to you: jdrf.org/t1dlookslikeme
