In 2011 my son, Kieran (age 13), represented Washington state in the JDRF Children’s Congress. That year JDRF worked with the FDA and Congress to allow the development of a closed loop insulin pump which would connect with a continuous glucose monitor. Within 5 years, my son was using this kind of device to help control his T1D. This is the power of JDRF and we have so much more on the horizon to make life better for those with T1D.
Whether you donate your time or dollars, life-changing breakthroughs in T1D treatments and therapies couldn’t happen without you.
