Dear JDRF Family and Friends,

As we move swiftly into the new year, allow me to wish you a healthy and happy New Year in 2019!  Because of you, progress is rapid and discoveries are abundant as more targeted research projects are underway to find a cure, better treat and prevent type 1 diabetes.

The first half of 2019 is an important one for all of us.  The 30^th Anniversary JDRF Seattle Guild Dream Gala is March 9^th, and the 37^th Annual Nordstrom Beat The Bridge is May 19^th.  Millions of life altering research dollars will be raised by the expansive communities of the Greater Northwest, making this one of the largest and most successful JDRF markets in the country…all because of you!

JDRF Greater Northwest is a newer way of describing the overarching alignment of the many moving parts of JDRF in our community that make us who we are and so successful in all that we do.  The Northwest Chapter,  South Sound, Inland Northwest, Montana and Alaska are integral coalesced  geographies now under the Greater Northwest moniker making even stronger front runner impact .  In full mission and vision partnership, the JDRF Seattle Guild, celebrating three decades of signature strength continues its course in being a preeminent nationwide leader.

I am so proud, grateful and appreciative to be your Executive Director.  I look forward to working with you in 2019, because together we will create a world without type 1 diabetes!
