Happy National Volunteer Week!

in

JDRF was founded over 50 years ago by a group of devoted parents to provide a voice for the type 1 diabetes (T1D) community – and with the ultimate goal of finding a cure for T1D so that their children and all those who came after could know a world free from the disease. This year’s National Volunteer Week theme is T1D Changemakers. Who exactly is a T1D Changemaker? Individuals who take action to accelerate life-changing breakthroughs to cure, treat, and prevent T1D.

JDRF was started by T1D Changemakers, and today we are fortunate to partner with incredible volunteers like you to accelerate life-changing T1D research. Your limitless passion and dedicated efforts are advancing our shared mission– you are a T1D Changemaker making a difference in the lives of those with T1D. Our volunteer partners are invaluable members of the T1D community who drive research progress, advocate for government action, and provide support to enrich the lives of families impacted by T1D. Together, we’re moving towards a world without T1D—none of this progress would be possible without our Greater NYC Chapter volunteer family. We are thankful for all our volunteers and supporters, this week and always.
