JDRF on the Radio!

in ,

Here at JDRF, we are so excited to be partnering with Walk 97.5 Radio on Long Island to raise awareness for type 1 diabetes (T1D)!

From May 21st to June 19th, tune in to 97.5 FM to hear inspiring stories from JDRF volunteers, Youth Ambassadors, and families, learn about T1D from experts in the field, and more.

On May 22nd and June 19th, listen to Island Outlook, a 30-minute program discussing issues most important to Long Island. Both shows will be hosted by Christina Kay, an incredible Walk 97.5 radio host who lives with T1D herself. On May 22nd, learn about diabetes basics and in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, learn about how diabetes can affect mental health and the resources that are available. On June 19th, learn about issues facing the diabetes community such as insulin affordability, hear stories from people facing challenges with health insurance and access to diabetes supplies, and find out how you can become an advocate to support the T1D community. Listen on the radio or catch up with the Island Outlook podcast here.

A big thank you to Walk 97.5 for dedicating the airwaves to raising awareness for diabetes. We are incredibly grateful for their support and dedication to our mission. Listen all month long at www.walkradio.com!
