Meet our September T1D Champions!

September is the American Medical Association’s (AMA) Women in Medicine Month, created to recognize the growing number of women in the profession. JDRF Greater New York City is proud to honor our September T1D Champions- the women of the past, present, and future who work in the medical profession and care for the type 1 diabetes (T1D) community.

Medical professionals are critical members of a T1D care team who work tirelessly to help their patients live healthy and safe lives with the disease. Women who serve as endocrinologists, Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists, nurses, dieticians, and more, provide support and education to those with T1D from the day of diagnosis and beyond. Women in healthcare continue to make an enormous impact felt throughout the T1D community.

We are proud to partner with these individuals to support those living with T1D. Thank you to all the exceptionally talented women in the medical field who share their time and wisdom to serve the T1D community, we are so grateful for your dedication! Together, we continue to work towards a world where T1D no longer exists.

We will be featuring our heroes on social media all month long. Be sure to follow along and join us in honoring Women in Medicine throughout September!
