Caring for the Student with T1D

Join JDRF, in partnership with Kimberly Philbin-Andreacchio, RD, CDN, CDCES, for a virtual program designed for school nurses. Learn about day-to-day management of T1D in the school environment, as well as the newest technologies, Hyper/Hypo glycemia and what you need to know.
This presentation will also include information about the Section 504 Plan.

Kimberly Andreacchio, Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist, was awarded the Young Registered Dietitian of the Year from the New York State Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics for the Long Island Chapter (2019) as well as Certified Diabetes Educator of the Year from the American Association for Diabetes Educators ā€“ Metro New York Chapter.

Kimberly worked full-time as Practice Dietitian for Northwell Health ā€“ Cohen Childrenā€™s Medical Center in the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology until resigning in August to become a stay at home mom. She remains active in the diabetes community as a Certified Pod Trainer for Omnipod and a Tandem Pump Trainer for Tandem. She will soon be resuming a per diem Registered Dietitian position with Northwell Health.

Kimberly is extremely passionate about helping others and helping the type 1 community live happy, safe and healthy lives.
