Caring for the Student with T1D

Join JDRF, in partnership with Kimberly Philbin-Andreacchio, RD, CDN, CDCES, for a virtual program designed for school nurses. Learn about day-to-day management of T1D in the school environment, as well as the newest technologies, Hyper/Hypo glycemia and what you need to know. This presentation will also include information about the Section 504 Plan. RSVP is necessary to receive the Zoom session details. Kimberly Andreacchio, Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist, was awarded the Young Registered Dietitian of the Year from the New York State Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics for the Long Island Chapter (2019) as well as Certified Diabetes Educator of the Year from the American Association for Diabetes Educators – Metro New York Chapter.

Kimberly worked full-time as Practice Dietitian for Northwell Health – Cohen Children’s Medical Center in the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology until resigning in August to become a stay at home mom. She remains active in the diabetes community as a Certified Pod Trainer for Omnipod and a Tandem Pump Trainer for Tandem. She will soon be resuming a per diem Registered Dietitian position with Northwell Health.

Kimberly is extremely passionate about helping others and helping the type 1 community live happy, safe and healthy lives.
