Kelly Borzell

Associate Executive Director

Kelly Borzell is the Associate Executive Director for the Greater New York City Chapter of JDRF.  Kelly joined JDRF in 2006 and during her tenure, has served as the Development Director for the New York City Chapter as well as the Regional Manager for the New York Metro/MAC Region.  Kelly brings more than 20 years of nonprofit development and management experience to her current position with a focus on maximizing chapter opportunities to expand fundraising impact.  She is both professionally and personally connected to the mission as her husband has lived with T1D for almost 40 years.

Kelly resides in Long Island with her husband and son and is a graduate of St. John’s University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts.

Julia Briggs

Director of Donor Relations

Julia serves the Greater New York City Chapter through the cultivation and stewardship of our community and donors, emphasizing the philanthropic desires of the individuals served with the organizational offerings that meet their needs.

Kim Maloney

Development Director

Kim joined JDRF in 2019 and brings with her more than 15 years of nonprofit experience.  Kim oversees the chapter’s signature events team, currently working on Promise Ball, NYC Real Estate Games, Golf Classic, Tee Up to Cure Diabetes Golf Event, and a Westchester/Fairfield County based dinner experience event.  Kim is grateful to work in support of the mission of JDRF and bettering the lives of those living with T1D.

Carolyn Brown

Development Manager

Carolyn serves as one of the Chapter’s Signature Events Manager.  In addition to general event and development support, Carolyn will be managing the Golf Classic, Tee Up to Cure Diabetes Golf Event, and NYC Real Estate Games.  Carolyn is originally from the Philadelphia area and graduated from Allegheny College.

Michelle Nardelli

Development Manager

Michelle has a MA in Public Policy from Stony Brook University and will be working on the Chapter’s communications plan and development programs.   Michelle has a personal connection to JDRF and its mission.  Her younger sister has lived with T1D for over 10 years.

Atikah Ubaid

Development Coordinator

Atikah is our new Chapter Development Coordinator for our Signature Events department.  She will help implement and expand the Chapter’s programs while supporting the vision and mission of JDRF.  Atikah supports the Signature Events team by coordinating elements of both the fundraising and non-fundraising activities.  She will also be assisting in the Chapter’s business needs and strategies.

Logan Moore

Development Director

Logan serves the Greater New York City Chapter as the Development Director, Peer to Peer.  Logan oversees the chapter’s Peer to Peer Programs team, currently working on JDRF One Walk, JDRF Ride, Team JDRF endurance programs, and JDRF Your Way.

Rona Rosenberg

Development Manager

Rona serves the Greater New York City Chapter as the Development Manager, Peer to Peer.  Rona will be working on the JDRF One Walk for the chapter. 

Sara Trimble

Development Manager

Sara will be overseeing our Endurance and Ride programs for the NYC/LI Chapter.

Jill Waller

Development Coordinator

Works on the Ride to Cure program, third party events, community events, OneWalk and Signature events support.

Givonna Boggans

Development Assistant

Assists the chapter at events, works on events logistics, office administration, and liaison with the Chapter Data & Finance Specialist.

Tricia Martin

Chapter & Data Finance Specialist

Oversees the Greater NYC and Upstate NY chapter’s finances and procedures (processes payments, tax letters, and invoice payments).  Handles the chapter matching gift program and works closely with the finance department in the National office.
