In an effort to stay connected as a community, JDRF Greater NYC is excited to continue to offer virtual meet ups and resources, as well as in-person events to support our local T1D community. We offer T1D support and networking programs for you and your loved ones with T1D from the day of diagnosis and beyond. Check back often as new events will be added!

E-Meet & Greet
Parents of children new to T1D meet weekly for an hourly virtual session and connect with an Outreach Volunteer. Outreach Volunteers are the voice of experience and share lessons learned since diagnosis to help you navigate life with T1D.

Tweens Taking on T1D
Young people ages 9-12 are invited to join meet ups with fellow pre-teens living with T1D. Join us monthly for a fun night of friendship and connections!

Teens ages 13-18 are invited to join monthly meetups co-led by teen leaders and adults living with T1D. Teens plan activities for this virtual program that offers connections to peers living with T1D. Meet & learn from other teens who GET IT!

Ask the Therapist
JoAnne Robb is pleased to partner with JDRF to offer Ask the Therapist, a virtual quarterly series designed for parents/caretakers of children with T1D. As a psychotherapist, experienced T1D coach, and mother of three- two of whom live with T1D, she will offer concrete and practical guidance.

The JDRF Greater NYC TypeOneNation Summit is coming to an area near you!
The TypeOneNation Summit is a FREE educational and networking opportunity for all impacted by T1D. This year the TON Summit will bring our community together to learn from T1D experts, hear about the latest breakthroughs in T1D research, meet vendor exhibitors, connect with others impacted by T1D, and more. This FREE event is designed for all ages and stages of life with T1D. Whether you are new to T1D, diagnosed 20 years ago, or caring for a loved one with T1D, you won’t want to miss this event.

TypeOneNation Virtual Summits– Women’s Health
Experts from across the country will join us each month to share their knowledge on important topics that affect those of us living with or caring for someone with T1D. Meet and learn from new speakers, engage with other families and individuals with T1D and expand your knowledge on topics important to you.
