Matt grew up in Bloomfield Hills, MI before meeting his wife Katie at Michigan State University in the mid- 1990’s. After graduating from MSU, Matt and Katie landed in East Grand Rapids to raise their family of 3 children (Lily -11, Rieden- 9 and Margaret- 6). Matt has been a Regional Sales manager for Terryberry for the past 10 years and attended his first JDRF Gala back in 2006, a year after his wife Katie was diagnosed with T1D. He has served on the board of the Michigan Great Lakes Chapter since 2012. Matt wanted to give back and dig his heels in to help support the mission of the JDRF – to find a cure for T1D and its complications through the support of research.
