The Young Leadership Committee (YLC) will begin hosting a new speaker series every other month that will focus on topics that are current and relatable to young adults with type 1 diabetes.

The series will kick-off with its first topic on Thursday, February 15th at Lucille’s restaurant in the Museum District. The topic of discussion will be Adulting with Type 1 – Dating, Drinking, and Diabetes and will focus on how young adults can manage type 1 diabetes in their everyday life. The speaker for the evening will be Connie Chitwood-Vu. Connie is a Certified Diabetic Educator and Registered Dietitian who is experienced and open with her experiences.
