Spotlight on The Stanfields & Bailey’s Buddies

Bailey Stanfield was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes (T1D) on October 7, 2011 at the age of 8. Her mother, Beth remembers asking the nurse if this was something she would eventually outgrow. However, the nurse’s facial expression said it all. Those early months were spent adjusting to their “new normal” and the following year, surrounded by friends and family, the Stanfield’s participated in their first JDRF Walk. When asked why they Walk- Bailey’s parent’s responded,

JDRF means the world to our family. IT MEANS HOPE!! Hope for a better life for our daughter… Hope for easier ways to care for herself and hope for a CURE one day.

Alan and Beth Stanfield, Brokers/ Owners of Stanfield Properties, continually give back to the community that has contributed to their company’s success. While they support many worthwhile causes, Stanfield Properties raises awareness and funds for JDRF through their daughter’s Walk team, “Bailey’s Buddies” in an extraordinary way. This year alone, they raised over $21,000 towards a cure and better treatments for T1D.
This type of impact would not have been possible without the support of the agents at Stanfield Properties. Their daughter’s diagnosis came just as Alan and Beth were getting their company off the ground and running. Beth shared,

“Many of the agents that are here today were around at the time of Bailey’s diagnosis and we all felt completely helpless. This was a way for us to be a part of trying to DO something about it. We know that one day Bailey (and many other children) will be able to say- I used to have type 1 diabetes”.
