7:30 a.m. Site opens!

JDRF Walk Central open for money drop-off. Entertainment begins.

8:30 a.m. Opening Ceremonies, Sponsored by Sequent Energy Management

9:00 a.m. Walk Starts!

WHAT TO EXPECT ON WALK DAY

JDRF One Walk  is a FREE family-friendly event. Walkers will enjoy a walk around the grounds of NRG Park with refreshments and entertainment along the way. Immediately following Walk, we invite you to enjoy a morning of free food, entertainment and activities. Strollers and wagons are permitted, as well as (leashed) dogs that do well around other dogs and crowds are welcome at Walk – though we ask that you bring clean up bags and water for your furry friends.  

WALK ROUTE

Route will take you around the NRG property with entertainment, rest stops, doggy stations, photo ops along the way. Approximently 2 miles with long and short route options.

CHECK-IN INFORMATION

When You Arrive 
All teams and individual walkers are to proceed to the Walk Central Tent (check-in) upon arrival.

V1P Check-In: If you have personally raised $1,000 or more, stop by the dedicated
registration line for your T-shirt tickets and to also pick up your V1P commemorative items:
• Lanyard recognizing your V1P status on Walk day
• V1P Pennant
• V1P Commemorative Lapel Pin
General Check-In: If you have pre-registered online and have funds to turn in, donations must be counted and sealed in a completed Walker Collection Envelope. Be sure to clearly write an accurate total of money contained in the envelope on the front of the envelope. Every walker turning in funds should turn in their own separate envelope—this helps us make sure the proper walker is credited. Walker Collection Envelopes will be available in the Walk Central Tent.
Unregistered Walkers: If you or a member of your team is not registered online, please complete a Walker Collection Envelope at Walk Central Tent.

JDRF ONE WALK T-SHIRTS

T-Shirt Tickets: If you have personally raised $100 or more for JDRF, be sure to get a t-shirt ticket at Walk Central Tent and proceed to the T-Shirt Tent. There will be a varity of sizes available, Youth Small through Adult 2X.

Bandanas for our T1D walkers are available at the T-Shirt Tent. These are microfiber, multifunctional, and made of stretchable material that allows the scarf to be worn in a variety of ways.

NEW FAMILIES

Visit our New Family and JDRF Advocacy Tent to learn more about JDRF, our research efforts, and how you can become involved locally. If you are a New Family Walk Team and this is your first year joining us, be sure to pick up your JDRF One Walk New Family Drawstring Backpack!

FOOD, FUN & ENTERTAINMENT

Thank you to our incredible in-kind sponsors Walmart, Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages,
La Madeleine, and NCL Wildflowers for their generous donations at this year’s walk. We will have Coke products, bottled water, salty snacks (chips, popcorn), and hot dogs and condiments. While we provide as many refreshments as possible, please understand that we have a limited quantity of food and beverages available and are unable to meet all dietary needs. In order for you to fully enjoy the activities of the day, we ask that you please come prepared with your own snacks for low blood sugar treatment.

Lilly, OmniPod, Tandem, Camp Sweeney and other vendor tables will be open before and after the Walk to share information with you.

The Kids Zone will be up and running all morning with carnival games, bounce houses, gaming truck, face painting, petting zoo, sports zone, temporary tattoos and so much more. Be sure to stop by the Young Adult Village for a game of cornhole, giant jenga, giant checkers, and giant connect four. Check out the wandering juggler and stilt performers and Houston Texan Cheerleaders with special guest Toro!

I CAN’T COME TO THE WALK. CAN I STILL FUNDRAISE?

Definitely! When you register at walk.jdrf.org, there is an option to choose “Virtual Walker”. Enjoy all the perks of having your personal fundraising page, even if you can’t make it on Walk day.

PARKING

Complimentary Parking available in the NRG Main Street lot (Yellow Lot) on Main Street between Murworth and McNee.
