You are cordially invited to the 2024 Illinois Chapter Annual Meeting. Join us for an extraordinary occasion sharing our mission progress and celebrating the cumulative impact of our donors and volunteers over the past fiscal year.  

Joining us will be Piotr Witkowski, M.D., Ph.D. with the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Dr. Witkowski is a Professor of Surgery, Director, Pancreatic Islet and Pancreas Transplantation Program, Director, ASTS Transplant Fellowship Program. He is a leading a leading expert in islet transplantation. He is also highly skilled in kidney, pancreatic, and liver transplantation, and performs islet autotransplantation. Dr. Wiktowski will speak to his JDRF funded research and the clinical trial he is participating in that focuses on a cell pouch for islet transplantation. 

All guests are invited to join us for a celebratory reception with cocktails and light hors d’oeuvres following the meeting.
