Youth Ambassadors

The JDRF Illinois Youth Ambassador Program consists of young leaders with T1D that represent JDRF in their communities, engage their peers, strengthen JDRF’s mission, and encourage participation in JDRF Illinois’ programs and events.

The JDRF Illinois Chapter Youth Ambassadors are 27 children and teens with type 1 diabetes (T1D), between the ages of 9 and 16, who are involved with the educational and volunteer efforts of JDRF Illinois.

The Youth Ambassador Program for JDRF Illinois empowers young leaders to develop leadership skills while supporting fundraising and awareness efforts for JDRF. Youth Ambassadors will be selected to represent JDRF in their communities and will support the JDRF vision of a world without T1D.

If you have any questions about the JDRF Youth Ambassador Program or would like a Youth Ambassador at your JDRF event or fundraiser, please contact Lindsey Riley at
