2022 Gala Youth Ambassador Applications are coming soon! Gala Youth Ambassadors are individuals ages 5-17 living with type 1 diabetes and are the face of the JDRF Kansas and Missouri Chapter. Join us as we march towards turning type one into type none!

The links to apply for both St. Louis and Kansas City Gala Youth Ambassadors will be posted to our Instagram, Facebook, and on our chapter website.

To qualify to be a Gala Ambassador, you must:

• Have type 1 diabetes (T1D) and a positive outlook.
• Between the ages of 5 and 18 years old (as of April 23, 2022).
• Attend the JDRF Dream Gala either in St. Louis (April 23, 2022) or Kansas City (May 21, 2022). The event dress code is formal attire.
• Attend the Dream Gala photo shoot (dates TBD).
• Commit to raising at least $500 for Fund A Cure.
• Donate a gift card for the Youth Ambassador silent auction basket valued at $100 or more.
• Be willing to speak in front of a large audience and/or media outlets.
• Be willing to speak openly about T1D, your diagnosis and involvement with JDRF.
• Provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test prior to attending in-person events.
