Edy is a Field Medical Scientist at Provention Bio. She has a Doctorate in Nursing Practice and is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Prior to joining Provention Bio, she practiced at Childrenā€™s Mercy in Kansas City for 24 years. She has also served as adjunct and part-time faculty for the University of Missouri-Kansas City school of nursing and has precepted over 40 nurse practitioners throughout the country. In 2019, she was a finalist for the March of Dimes Nurse Practitioner of the Year award. On a personal level, Edy has lived with T1D for nearly 20 years and is passionate about educating patients, families and anyone who will listen about T1D.
