TypeOneNation Summit, Central Coast

On Sunday, January 21st  JDRF will be hosting TypeOneNation at Deckers Outdoor Corporation.  Join the type 1 diabetes community to learn from the experts about T1D technology, therapies, health and wellness.

The day will feature a keynote presentation by Annie Shultz who will speak about her experiences as an artificial pancreas trial participant and JDRF’s mission.

Following this will be a  Technology Update panel which includes Dr. Bart O. Roep, Chairman of the Department of Diabetes Immunology, Dr. David Kerr, Director of Research and Innovation at William Sansum Diabetes Center and Mark Harmel, CDE, MPH, Clinical Research Coordinator at the USC Westside Center for Diabetes

After lunch, TrialNet Screenings and a vendor fair, participants will then choose from a variety of breakout session topics for all ages and stages of T1D including:

  • Taking T1D to School
  • T1D and your Mental Health
  • the Path to the Closed Hybrid System
Learning about the latest T1D management tools
Learning about the latest T1D management tools

Kids with T1D along with their siblings ages 5 and up can participate in our KidsNation Camp during the day.
