On Sunday, November 4th, close to 10,000 people walked on a beautiful Los Angeles morning for one important purpose — to celebrate all they had accomplished towards getting closer to turning type 1 diabetes into type none.   Families, schools, fraternities, sororities and businesses together raised over $1.3 million for critical type 1 diabetes research.

Besides an invigorating 5k walk route, participants roamed the Vendor village where they learned about the latest in T1D management, participated in T1D research with TrialNet, and met inspiring role models like actor and JDRF Ambassador Derek Theler, Dodger legend Dennis Powell and actor Austin Basis.  Our fabulous M.C.’s Erick Weiss, KTLA Morning News Anchor Frank Buckley and One Walk Youth Ambassador Taylor Stimmler got the crowd pumped before walking.
