The Los Angeles Chapter of JDRF would like to thank everyone who supported the 2018 Imagine Gala and helped to make it a tremendous success. It was wonderful to see such an amazing group of individuals come together to celebrate the extraordinary progress JDRF is making to cure, treat and prevent type 1 diabetes (T1D). It is because of this support that we were able to raise over $1.2 million for T1D research.

American Honda Motor Co., Inc. was recognized with the T1D Corporate Champion of the Year Award for their dedication to JDRF and long-standing support of the communities where Honda associates work and live. We were also proud to honor Andy Bales, CEO of Union Rescue Mission, with the Spirit Award for his tireless support in the Los Angeles area for over 30 years through community outreach and services to individuals experiencing homelessness. As an individual with T1D, Andy is committed to supporting JDRF and positively impacting the lives of those individuals living with the disease.

The evening’s festivities also included a live and silent auction, entertainment and the opportunity to Fund A Cure. If you did not have a chance to participate in the Fund A Cure portion of the gala program, you still can make a donation to T1D research. Fund a Cure gives you the opportunity to make a donation in the increment of your choice and 100% of your Fund A Cure donation goes directly to the vital mission of JDRF.
