T1D Connection Program Volunteers Needed

in

Do you remember when your child was first diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D)? Did you have someone who reached out to you to help and offer words of encouragement? Would you like to be that guide for someone else to help them through those first difficult months after a new T1D diagnosis?

If you answered yes to these questions, the JDRF T1D Connections Program is looking for you! Outreach volunteers are an important part of JDRF because they can offer their time and expertise to families who are just beginning their T1D journey. They connect with their assigned families/individuals monthly by phone, email, events, etc. and are an extension of JDRF for our T1D community. All Outreach volunteers are trained and are given the necessary resources to support them in their role.

To learn more about becoming a T1D Connections Outreach Volunteer, please contact, Sarah Hale (shale@jdrf.org), Maryland Chapter Outreach Coordinator.
