Dr. Brad Thrasher is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Endocrinology and Physician Lead of the Christensen Family Sports and Activity Program for the Wendy Novak Diabetes Center.  Prior to joining the University of Louisville, Dr. Thrasher was on faculty in the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology at the University of Tennessee, Erlanger Children’s Hospital, where he worked to optimize patient care quality and enhance the medical learner experience.  In his free time, Dr. Thrasher loves hiking, traveling, sports (primarily baseball and college football), and living life to its fullest.  He enjoys partnering with patients and families with diabetes and empowering them with tools and knowledge, so they too can fulfill their dreams and aspirations.

Eric Davenport is a certified diabetes educator at the Wendy Novak Diabetes Center and lead educator of the Christenson Family Sports and Activity Program. Eric has lived with diabetes for 22 years being diagnosed at age 6, and is passionate about using his experience to educate and empower others with diabetes. Type 1 diabetes has not slowed down Eric from pursuing his love of traveling or outdoor adventures as he has traveled around the world living out of a backpack, hiked to the base of Mount Everest, and has climbed to the top of the Grand Teton. He hopes that everyone with diabetes will understand that with proper planning and preparation, diabetes will not stop anyone from reaching for their goals and dreams, but instead will be a partner along for the ride.
