TEAM SCHOSTAK FAMILY RESTAURANTS TO HOST STATEWIDE CHARITY CHALLENGE BENEFITING MAKE-A-WISH® MICHIGAN, JDRF AND MDA

More than 100 restaurants honoring Make a Difference Day with October 28 event, TSFR to provide $5,000 donation to winning charity

LIVONIA, Mich., October 25, 2017—Mich.-based TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR), a family-owned restaurant group with an expansive portfolio of casual dining, quick-service and family dining restaurants throughout the state of Michigan, and its more than 100 Applebee’s, Olga’s Kitchen, MOD Pizza and Del Taco restaurants will host a one-day, statewide charity challenge on Saturday, October 28 in honor of Make A Difference Day. The proceeds from the event will benefit Make-A-Wish Michigan, JDRF (formerly known as Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) and the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). TSFR Director of Marketing Barb Pasciak made the announcement.

As part of the all-day charity challenge, guests will be able to add a monetary donation to the charity, or charities, of their choice to their bill at each of the 64 TSFR Applebee’s, 27 Olga’s Kitchen, eight MOD Pizza and five Del Taco restaurants. All donations collected will directly benefit the respective charities as selected by the donor. The charity that collects the most donations throughout the day will receive an additional $5,000 donation from TSFR with the remaining charities receiving a matching donation up to $2,500 from TSFR.

“After an overwhelmingly positive response from our Applebee’s communities last year, TSFR is proud to bring back this friendly and spirited challenge and expand it to all of our restaurants in an effort to provide additional support for our long-standing partners at Make-A-Wish Michigan, JDRF and MDA,” said Pasciak. “Each of these charities have had a tremendous impact on improving the quality of life for our neighbors, and to continue to make progress for those that need it most, ongoing funding is critical. We hope that families throughout the state of Michigan will join us in our mission to give back and make a difference in our communities.”

In exchange for a $1 or $5 donation at any of TSFR’s Applebee’s, Olga’s Kitchen, MOD Pizza or Del Taco restaurants, guests will receive a coupon to use at a later date that is good for a free item from a select menu. The following coupons will be given in exchange for donations:
