  • July 14-19th Virtual Friends For Life
    • CWD’s Friends for Life conference is internationally recognized, globally attended, and supported by staff and faculty who are on this diabetes journey together. Friends for Life will be shifting to a Virtual Plus mode for their July event. (More on the “plus” part soon, but it will be an experience that you can hold, wear, keep, and treasure!)     •  Virginia Cooperative Extension Agent Kim Butterfield and Virginia Tech Dietetic Intern Kea Schwarz for this fun and interactive presentation about cooking and food suggestions for families of youth living with Type 1 diabetes.     • A live reading from his comic book series “The Kinetix,” which features a group of unpopular and unnoticed students who each live with various challenges that require special attention, needs, medications, and/or physical aides – including T1D.
