20th Anniversary DC Hope Gala

in

JDRF Mid-Atlantic hosted its 20th Anniversary DC Hope Gala on Saturday, December 5th in a reimagined way. It was an incredible evening of fundraising, stories, celebration, and gratitude – all in the spirit of JDRF’s fight to cure, treat, and prevent type 1 diabetes (T1D).

In honor of JDRF’s founding 50 years ago by T1D moms, we were thrilled to be able to recognize the power of the T1D mom in our Gala Honoree, Emily Spitzer, and in our devoted Co-Chairs, Mimi Schwartz, Caroline Springer, Susan Traver and Michelle Whitaker. Their leadership, passion, hard work and spirit made our 20th Anniversary Hope Gala possible

We were also elated to recognize this year’s Rapaport Lifetime Service Award recipients, Larry Soler and Family, for their incredible contributions to the mission of JDRF. Yet another significant part of the evening was the JDRF Champions Campaign, which provides high school students the opportunity to engage their community in our mission.

To date the DC Hope Gala has raised $1.925 million towards life-changing T1D research. We are so grateful to our entire community for joining us virtually this year to make an impact towards a world without T1D. You are the POWER OF USand what we can do when we all come together for something we believe in is truly incredible.
