New Family Rally

March 16, 2021
7:00 pm

All those newly diagnosed or new to JDRF are invited to meet others in the T1D community, get advice and tips on building your diabetes support team, and learn how JDRF can be a part of your team! Hear from volunteers about the power of the T1D community and how you can impact JDRF’s mission through the JDRF One Walk program. Our featured guest speaker is Dr. Christine H. Wang, a postdoctoral psychology fellow at Children’s National Hospital.

Dr. Christine H. Wang PhD is currently completing an advanced research fellowship in type 1 diabetes (T1D) at Children’s National Hospital, where she focuses on psychosocial issues relevant to youth, families and young adults living with T1D. In addition, she is a licensed psychologist in Maryland and founder/owner of a new psychotherapy practice, District Psychology Center, LLC (coming spring 2021), where her clinical expertise focuses on working with youth, parents and young adults experiencing problems with peer/family relationships, school/career, identity, stress/worry/fear, mood, sleep, ADHD and living with T1D.
