Currently Enrolling Clinical Trials in Our Chapter

in ,

There is a new and updated Clinical Trials table for our chapter area. This chart has several changes, as many trials were filled and new ones have started. Remember to check the chapter chart every couple of months for any changes. Nationally we were able to fill two pivotal trials CLVer and PROTECT, both aimed at beta cell health in children that were newly diagnosed. The first findings from these studies may occur within 2022. JDRF is working to make sure the approximately 50 trials that are being funded can fill participation numbers and go forward in a timely manner to get new therapies to patients with T1D. Participating in a clinical trial is a great way to help move us forward to a cure, prevent T1D, improve management on the way to a cure and to have access to new therapies. Our newest trial, is a national trial called REDCHIP. This trial is for a parent of a child 2-5 years old with T1D. This clinical trial is to test a new approach to treating parent concerns or worries about low blood sugars. It will involve participation in video meetings with a study team member and other parents for 13 weeks.
