Join us for a virtual workshop on: Endurance Exercise & Nutrition in Type 1 Diabetes: What we can learn from professional athletes with T1D and apply to ourselves. This session will last 45 minutes and is offered twice on Thursday, October 29th. Choose to join either session at 12:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. Facilitating the discussion will be Lauren Plunkett of LP Nutrition Consulting.
Join Lauren in a conversation about the latest research on cyclists with T1D and apply this knowledge to any aerobic activity. Learn about the relationship between exercise and overnight low blood sugars and the role of carbohydrates, protein and fat. To step up your fitness level, we’ll discuss the benefits of cross training on blood sugar and endurance. We will also go in depth on blood sugar in range and how to coach yourself into a healthy, positive mindset.
