Post-Walk Fundraising CONTEST!

in ,

Thank you to everyone who participated in and fundraised for this year’s inaugural One Walk in Utah! With your support, we estimate over $500,000 is slated to be raised by our collective FALL Walk fundraising efforts! This is truly an accomplishment we can all be very proud of!

We are excited to announce that we are officially launching a contest to help close the gap to our budget of $650,000, and keep up the motivation for fundraising even though the Walk is behind us! If each team achieved the goal they set at registration, we would MORE than achieve our budget!  Because of this, we are holding a drawing for TWO $100 AMEX cards for ALL Team Captains whose teams have achieved their fundraising goal (two winners, $100 each).

There are also some additional enticing prizes up for grabs for additional fundraising! We will be holding a drawing and there will be 13 winners!

  • 4 pairs of tickets to Hale Centre Theatre’s A Christmas Carol
  • 4 admission tickets to Boondocks
  • $25 to Iggy’s Sports Grill
  • 4 pairs of guest passes to any Cinemark theater
  • $30 to Tin Roof Grill
  • $30 to Asian Star restaurant
  • $15 to The Pie Pizzeria

The contest will run through November (to give our fundraisers the chance to take advantage of National Diabetes Awareness Month). To be entered in the drawing, all you have to do is donate or raise an additional $100 (and you’ll receive one entry for each additional $100 raised) by November 30th. It’s that simple! We will also award each $100 raised with a Walk Day t-shirt – just get in touch with the office and we will get you one!

In addition, we are extending an opportunity to Earn your V1P recognition (exclusive goody bag and trophy) post-Walk. Get your personal fundraising total up to $1,000 by November 30th and we’ll get you your V1P goodies, AND you’ll also have the bragging rights to go along with it!

As always, thank you for everything you do to support JDRF and our mission to cure, treat, and prevent T1D. It is truly because of people like you that we will one day find a cure! Contact Stacey at the JDRF office (sbowen@jdrf.org or 801-530-0660) with any questions or concerns!
