JDRF Ride: Olympic Challenge, Team BBQ, and Training Rides Return!

Summer is heating up and so is the Mountain West Ride Program! We’ve got a lot coming up in July and August so now is the time to register for the Ride at ride.jdrf.org.

JDRF Olympic Challenge

Hop on your bike or Peloton every day during the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo (July 23-August 8) and log miles using the Strava app. Whether you ride 5 miles or 100 miles, it all counts! The person who logs miles on the most days during the Olympic Challenge will receive a $500 credit towards their Ride fundraising ā€¦ automatically earning them a 2021 Ride jersey!

Here are the details:

  • Be sure to register for the Mountain West Ride Team at ride.jdrf.org.
  • You must join the JDRF Mountain West Ride Strava group to track your miles – CLICK HERE to join the group!
  • Remember , curing diabetes is a team sport! Be sure to share your progress in the Olympic Challenge on social media and include a link to your Ride fundraising page.
  • 1st place (logging miles on the most days!) receives $500, 2nd place receives $250, and 3rd place receives $100 towards their Ride fundraising, courtesy of JDRF Friends Margaret and James Esler.

Mountain West Team BBQ & Training Ride – Colorado: Sunday, August 8!

Join Ride Leader Lauren for a training ride and team BBQ to close out the Olympic Challenge on Sunday, August 8! The training ride will begin at Lauren’s home in Highlands Ranch and go to Chatfield Reservoir and back (~30 miles) immediately followed by the BBQ. Join us for the training ride, BBQ, or both!
