Ride On: A JDRF Ride Season Update

in , , ,

The 2022 Ride Season kicked off in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on June 9!

Mountain West Riders Chris Eaton and Jesse McTigue celebrated their T1D champions by completing the first in-person 100-mile bike ride since 2019! The weekend was filled with friends (old and new!), inspirational stories, good food and, of course, 100 miles of riding through beautiful central Michigan!

Last month, Le Tour de France wrapped up in France, and so did Mountain West’s Tour de France Challenge! Overall, we had over 20 riders participate for the opportunity to win fundraising credits for their upcoming destination rides! Collectively, Mountain West Riders rode over 150 days, 2,700 miles (the distance between JDRF headquarters in New York City and one of our 2022 Ride destinations ā€“ Death Valley!), and countless hours!

Congratulations to our winners Pat Ferdig, Russ Nielson, Emilio Suarez, Kimberly Zingale and Paige Norton!
