New Name. Same Mission.

Dear JDRF Supporters,

We’ve had a tremendous year at JDRF, in terms of research advances toward cures for T1D, driving coverage, affordability and choice for the community through Advocacy, and expanding connections to improve the lives of those with T1D today.

None of what we have done – and continue to do – would be possible without your support.

Thank you for your dedication, serving as a passionate volunteer, and helping secure critical dollars we need to continue our work. As we look into the new fiscal year, there is so much we aim to accomplish.

In an effort to better serve our T1D community, as well as drive more fundraising dollars to our mission, the Omaha-Council Bluffs and Lincoln-Greater Nebraska chapters are combining to create the JDRF Nebraska-Southwest Iowa Chapter. Our newly formed chapter will function under one management structure in order to grow our local impact across the counties we serve.

We have seen substantial growth in our net event revenue, volunteer leadership, and community presence in both areas and we look forward to improving upon this great work. This is an exciting opportunity that will make us a stronger, higher-performing organization, and even better positioned to meet the growing and changing needs of the T1D Community.

While the chapters’ names may have changed, our mission remains the same. We look forward to bringing together more people who share a passion for helping those with T1D and raising funds that accelerate our life-changing research and advocacy efforts.

So much promising work lies ahead and I appreciate how much time and effort you put into our shared vision of a world without T1D. I hope to see you at the JDRF One Walk at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha on August 24th or at Haymarket Park in Lincoln on September 22nd.
