The JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes is a charitable bike ride that to date has raised more than $30 million for type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. The ride gives cyclists of all ages and skill levels the opportunity fundraise for JDRF, the global leader in T1D research. The JDRF Ride isn’t just a bike ride – it’s an opportunity for hundreds of riders come together from all over the world to make new friendships, experience the unparalleled comradery of the ride community and raise money to find a cure for T1D.
Riders choose a fundraising packages and set their own mileage goal. Along the way, they receive the full support of the JDRF Ride Community — from the ride coaches to the fundraising experts who will help them reach and exceed their fundraising goals. All registered riders who complete their fundraising receive a commemorative JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes jersey.
There are six 2018 Rides to Cure Diabetes across the country from August through November. Each offers a unique and unforgettable experience.
Last year’s Saratoga Ride to Cure Diabetes brought together 620 cyclists of all ages and skill levels representing 81 JDRF chapters from around the nation and Canada, as well as 40 riders representing JDRF Northeastern New York. Participants raised $2.7 million. which made it the top revenue-generating Ride to Cure Diabetes event of the year!
