The Nevada Chapter Volunteer of the Month program is sponsored by our community partners at Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers. Each month we highlight one of our fabulous chapter volunteers and that volunteer will receive gift cards for free meals from Raising Cane’s.

We are pleased to announce our Raising Canes Volunteer of the Month for this month is Bill Singletary.

Bill is an amazing asset to the Outreach program. He and his family volunteer to connect with newly diagnosed families in the Nevada Chapter after they receive their JDRF Bag of Hope in the hospital. He is tireless in his efforts with the T1D Connections Program, and the chapter admires his tireless spirit and willingness to help newly diagnosed families.

There are often times when the chapter has a full list of families in need of connection and Bill and his family often coach multiple families at a time. His family is also among the first to volunteer for the Nevada Chapter events and special projects. His daughter is involved with the Youth Ambassador program, and he guides her as they participate in recognition activities with our local corporate sponsors, helps to captain her successful JDRF One Walk team, and encourages her as she meets and connects with newly diagnosed children.

The JDRF Nevada Chapter is thankful for Bill’s dedication and commitment to the Nevada Chapter Outreach Program.
