The Southern Nevada Chapter Volunteer of the Month program is sponsored by our community partners at Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers. Each month we highlight one of our fabulous chapter volunteers and that volunteer receives gift cards for free meals from Raising Cane’s.

We are pleased to announce our Raising Canes Volunteer of the Month for January is Stephanie Broecker.

Stephanie is a full time Registered Nurse and devoted mom to two children. Stephanie came to the Outreach Program of the JDRF Southern Nevada Chapter about a year ago eager to learn, help and coach families starting their T1D journey. Stephanie and her children have made it their mission to volunteer for every local JDRF event. Stephanie and her daughter, an active Youth Ambassador with T1D, regularly volunteer together offering to meet newly diagnosed children to show them how to manage their new journey.

Additionally, Stephanie has taken on the role as the JDRF Outreach Health Partner. In this role, she helps to plan participation for the chapter in area health fairs and related activities to bring awareness of our local outreach, resources, and activities.

In her spare time, she enjoys competing in local and regional marathons.
