Southern Nevada Youth Ambassador Applications due September 1st

The Youth Ambassador Program is made up of children and their families living with type 1 diabetes, between the ages of 7 and 17 (first grade to senior year in high school), who are interested in becoming involved with the educational and volunteer efforts of the JDRF Nevada Chapter in Clark County.

This group provides awareness of type 1 diabetes (T1D) to our community and helps support the mission of JDRF as we work to fund the research to find better treatments and a cure for T1D. There are a variety of opportunities for the Youth Ambassadors to volunteer individually and as a group. For our older Youth Ambassadors, these opportunities are a great way to start or continue to build their college resumes. For our younger members, the events and opportunities can be a great way to build confidence and meet other people living with T1D and feel less alone.

The Youth Ambassador Program gives you the ability to use your voice to spread diabetes awareness and help JDRF in many ways that only you can! We need your voice, your participation, and your leadership.

On behalf of JDRF, we are looking forward to working with you. Together, we can make a difference!
