Welcome Debby and Cortney

It is with great pleasure that we announce our new Northern Nevada staff members, Debby Lee, Development Director and Cortney Huth, Senior Development Coordinator.

Debby joins JDRF with more than twenty years of experience in program and project management. Debby is a three-year resident of Northern Nevada, recruited here by Renown Hospital to develop and maintain the Quality Management program for the integrated health network. She supervised the UNSOM Internal Medicine Residentsā€™ Quality Management rotation and served as the Wellness Champion for the Quality Management Department. Debby has a Bachelor of Arts from Hollins University in Roanoke, VA.

Debby brings to JDRF great relationship building skills, extensive committee development experience, and the ability to set, observe, and re-evaluate project priorities. Debbyā€™s strategic planning skills, warm, professional and communicative nature supports her desire to partner with each of you to achieve more revenue to mission and expanded outreach and awareness in the Northern Nevada community.

Cortney Huth is a long-time resident of Reno graduating from Reno High School. She has a Bachelors in History and Political Science from UNR. Most recently, Cortney was the Youth and Community Outreach Specialist for Join Together Northern Nevada ā€“ a grassroots substance misuse prevention coalition. Prior to that, she was as the Senior Family Readiness Support Assistant (SFRSA) contractor for the Nevada National Guard.

Cortneyā€™s expertise lies in the areas of public speaking, grant management, volunteer recruitment, office management, directing and motivating staff and volunteers, customer service, program management, training, proposal writing, process improvement and team leadership.
