This National Volunteer Week, April 7-13, 2019, JDRF celebrates the passion and dedication of our inspiring volunteers! JDRF was founded by families and volunteers who wanted to create a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D) and ever since, volunteers have been at the core of everything we do. From our International Board of Directors to the Children’s Congress delegates taking on D.C., this summer, JDRF volunteers are making a difference. And thanks to their donations and support, JDRF raises, invests and drives more funds to T1D research than any organization in the world. As a result, together, we have played a key role in every major T1D advancement–drug, device, cell research–in the last 40 years–improving lives and bringing us closer to our ultimate goal of a cure.
We are thankful to our more than one million volunteers and supporters–this week and always.
