JDRF State of the Foundation & Research Progress

On July 11th, the Annual JDRF One Conference took place in Washington D.C. Representatives from the Northeast Wisconsin Chapter included Darcy Pierson, Board President, Chris LeFever, President Elect and Julie Feest, Executive Director. This year’s One Conference was designed to arm us with skills and knowledge to take our roles as a JDRF ambassador to the next level and empower us to achieve greater impact.

The One Conference experience left us excited and inspired by the tangible progress we’re making to reach our shared dream of a world without T1D!

Here are some of the highlights from the Conference:

Capitol Hill Visits: JDRF’s Advocacy efforts help build and sustain critical support for Federal Government-funded T1D research by raising awareness among Members of Congress of the financial, medical and emotional costs of the disease.  See the photos from our visits !!

JDRF Research Portfolio Overview: An interactive session that highlights the JDRF research portfolio by addressing common questions from the JDRF field.
