My name is Alaina and I am the 2019 Youth Ambassador for the JDRF One Walk in Stevens Point! I am 13 years old and will be going into 8th grade, my last year in middle school. I live in Wisconsin Rapids with my parents, my dogs Ella and Teddi, and my guinea pig Homer. I have had T1D for 4 years, I was diagnosed in 2015 when I was 9 years old. I am on a competitive gymnastics team and volleyball team, but I also enjoy swimming and spending time with my friends and family jumping on the trampoline. I also enjoy babysitting and watching YouTube videos. I love animals, especially my 2 dogs. This is my 2nd year participating in the JDRF One Walk as Team Alaina’s Hope.  I hope for a cure for Type 1 more than anything!! I’m so happy to be working with JDRF and helping raise money for the research to make that happen. I can’t wait to see you at the walk!!
