What’s in store for 2020?

On Monday, June 8, we’re heading back to Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club in Bedminster, NJ with the goal of raising $200,000 for JDRF’s mission.

This year, we’re proud to have Mark Taddeo and Chris Franco serve as our 2020 Golf Classic Chairs.

Mark Taddeo is the VP of Sales at Direct Energy and fierce fundraiser for JDRF. In addition to serving as the Chair, Mark is a board member for our local JDRF New Jersey Metro & Rockland County Chapter. He’s determined to find a cure for his daughter, Claudia, who was diagnosed with T1D at 6 years old and is now a college sophomore.

Chris Franco is excited to step into the role of Event Chair this year. After Chris was diagnosed with T1D in 1973 at the age of two, his parents were determined to do the most, which included establishing a Rockland/Bergen/Passaic chapter. Now, decades later and another T1D diagnosis in the family (Chris’ brother Michael), Chris is determined to lead by example to make life with T1D easier for all those impacted by this disease.

Our committee is dedicated to making this our biggest and best Golf Classic yet!

In January, the Golf Classic Committee met at Top Golf in Edison, NJ, to kick off this year’s event. We’re excited to have some familiar faces serve as committee members as well as several new members.
