Did you know JDRF was founded in 1970?

And, for the past five decades, the JDRF community has driven incredible research and advancements for those of us living with T1D. All possible because two moms were determined to change their sons’ lives.

As we commemorate this year’s 50th anniversary of JDRF, it’s not so much about what we’ve achieved, but how we’ve achieved it –

through the power of people.

​Right now is an unsettling time for all of us but being stronger together in times of uncertainty is what makes the JDRF community unlike any other. It’s the power of us that will get us through these trying times.​

Tune in to The Power of Us on Saturday, May 2 as we bring together our supporters for a virtual stream to recognize the inspirational strength and power of our community; share laugh, smiles and stories; and commemorate JDRF’s 50th anniversary.  ​

Each spring, our One Dream Gala brings JDRF families, friends and supporters together for a black-tie affair to demonstrate their commitment to our mission and raise more than $1.5 million for T1D research.

Guests enjoy cocktails, participate in our auctions, hear from local T1D Heroes, and participate in our one-of-a-kind campaign, Fund A Cure. 

This year, we’re bringing the Gala ballroom to your living room!

Leading up to our virtual event, The Power of Us, on May 2, we’re replicating ballroom magic, sharing videos and stories on Facebook and online. ​

The JDRF community has invested decades of toil and sweat to understand and defeat this complex disease – our loved ones with T1D deserve nothing less.  ​
