JDRF and Kid Safe Drinking Kit Are Stronger Together

Kid Safe Drinking Kit and JDRF are partnering to raise critical type 1 diabetes awareness as well as funds to drive JDRF’s mission forward. The partnership campaign will launch on October 1, and throughout the month, Kid Safe Drinking Kit will release a limited-edition JDRF kit and mask, and $5 from every purchase will be donated to JDRF.

On November 1, to celebrate One Walk Day and T1Day, Kid Safe Drinking Kit will donate $1 from every purchase to JDRF.

Entrepreneur and mother to five, Kristen Tansey developed the Kid Safe Drinking Kit in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to help kids stay safe while hydrating. For Kristen, this partnership is purposeful and personal. Three of Kristen’s children have type 1 diabetes (T1D), and she has spent years ensuring that her three children with T1D maintain a quality of life that encourages them as well as equips them to dream big!

Now with flu season on the horizon, it continues to be Kristen’s mission to equip her children with T1D, and all those with compromised immune systems, to hydrate safely.

“I believe that children should not have to choose between drinking water to stay hydrated and removing their masks to do so,” said Tansey. “The Kid Safe Drinking Kit was developed and created to help kids stay safe while hydrating.

The child and adult version of the kit provides an organic cotton, machine washable Drink Mask with a silicone straw gasket and protective flap. The Kit includes a Kid Safe Drinking Straw Kit, cleaning brush, mask travel case and a carabiner clip. Special features like the  Emoji Silicone Band ensures a comfortable and snug fit.

Throughout the campaign, Kid Safe Drinking Kit will raise critical T1D awareness, participate in the largest JDRF One Walk ever, and release exclusive shop & give back opportunities throughout National Diabetes Awareness Month and the holiday shopping season.

“The race to end T1D is a marathon, and teaming up with Kid Safe Drinking Kit helps us continue to build awareness of type 1 diabetes and raise much-needed funds to support the ongoing research,” explains Taran Connelly, executive director for the New Jersey Metro & Rockland County Chapter of JDRF.
