Announcing our One Dream Gala Honoree: Jon Wilk, CEO, CompoSecure

The New Jersey Metro & Rockland County Chapter of JDRF is pleased to announce our 2022 One Dream Gala Honoree, Jon Wilk, and CompoSecure & LLR Partners as the Presenting Sponsor!

JDRF has been an organization close to Jon’s heart for much of his life, with a connection made deeper when his son Noah was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) in 2005. Six weeks after Noah’s diagnosis, Jon and his family rallied their friends and family to join their local JDRF Walkā€Æteam, “Got Wilk?”. In the 15 years that followed, Jon became even more involved participating in the JDRF Ride to Cure (100 mile rides in Burlington, Saratoga, Death Valley, and Amelia Island), One Dream Gala and serving on the Charlotte and JDRF New Jersey Metro Board of Directors. Throughout the years, Jon and his family along with the support from CompoSecure have raised more than $750,000 for JDRFā€™s mission.

Professionally, Jon joined CompoSecure in 2016 whose companyā€™s founders believed in, ā€œdelivering exceptional products for our customers, creating a workplace where employees feel valued, and giving back to the community around us with time and financial support.ā€ In that spirit, CompoSecure has supported JDRF over the last 5 years, and during that time our T1D community has seen giant leaps in transplant and autoimmune immunology, beta cell biology and technology treatments unlike any weā€™ve ever seen in T1D. These same values helped CompoSecure transition from a successful family-owned business to becoming a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ exchange (ticker CMPO) in December of 2021, with Jon now serving as the CEO.

Noah, 21, is completing his Junior year at Lafayette College where he is a double major in Government/Law and Philosophy. He played varsity soccer and lacrosse in high school while managing the daily challenges of diabetes, and he served as a JDRF Youth ambassador for a number of years. Noah continues to play lacrosse for the Lafayette club team and serves as one of the leaders on the nationally ranked Lafayette Mock Trial team. Noah hopes to go to law school after college.

Jon is a fierce leader in the fight against T1D and we are excited to honor his relentless dedication to JDRF’s mission. If you would like to make a donation to the 2022 One Dream Gala in honor of Jon Wilk and his family, please click HERE.
