The Armory Ballroom, The DoubleTree by Hilton
The Armory Ballroom was built in 1904 as the first State Armory in New Hampshire. It is on the National Register of Historic Places, and little has been changed to the original building. It still maintains the original brick walls and hardwood floors, and one can still see where the horse stalls were below it. The Manchester Downtown Hotel was built around this building in 1984. The Armory Ballroom hosts a multitude of varied events throughout the year, and has seen many presidential candidates walk through its doors for events during the NH Primary elections. It can host events of up to one thousand guests.
